Logivision Systems, recently installed Maitre’D POS, Back-Office and the e-Global corporate communication and polling system at the Butchart Gardens in Victoria. The new system helps manage 9 different restaurants, with 21 workstations, including 2 wireless terminals with high speed credit card processing capability. Maitre’D was one of 8 systems being considered for this prestigious site.
Mr. Peter Hennig, Vice President at Logivision Systems explains: “Considering the size of the property and distance between locations it all went exceptionally well. The staff at the Gardens is exceptional and the IT department got right in there with the switchover of the previous system. Their main goal was to achieve system-wide stability and reliability, and we have provided that with the multi-server topology, which compensates for the large size of the property and allows another layer of redundancy. So far they have been extremely happy with the system’s performance and we look forward to growing with it every year.”
The Butchart Gardens displays over 1,000,000 bedding plants in some 700 varieties throughout the Gardens to ensure uninterrupted bloom from March through October. Well over a million people visit each year, enjoying the floral beauty of the gardens located in British Columbia, Canada. www.butchartgardens.com
