Pilot Project Launched to Fight Tax Evasion in the Restaurant Sector

Robert Dutil, Minister of Revenue Québec launched a pilot project today with the intent of fighting, and defeating tax evasion in the restaurant sector. The project revolves around the obligation of restaurateurs to provide their clients with bills and to use a sales recording module (SRM), also known as a fiscal printer, to produce them. Approximately 50 establishments from the restaurant sector have volunteered to participate. The duration of this pilot project is slated to be 6 months.
